Join our mission to transform community-based kemiri forest management into a sustainable economic powerhouse! Kemitraan Lestari Indonesia seeks a dedicated Pengelola Hutan Kemiri Rakyat to oversee our community-owned kemiri forests in Yogyakarta. This role bridges traditional ecological wisdom with modern conservation practices, empowering local communities while maximizing sustainable yield from high-value kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) trees. You'll lead initiatives that balance ecological preservation with economic growth, creating lasting impact for both people and planet.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and implement sustainable harvesting plans for kemiri nuts while maintaining forest biodiversity
- Train local community members in modern silviculture techniques and organic pest management
- Monitor forest health using GIS mapping and ecological assessment tools
- Coordinate with cooperatives for fair-trade kemiri nut distribution to domestic and international markets
- Ensure compliance with national forestry regulations and sustainable certification standards
- Manage reforestation programs focusing on native species alongside kemiri cultivation
- Prepare quarterly progress reports for stakeholders including government agencies and investors
Kualifikasi
- S1 degree in Forestry, Agribusiness, or Environmental Science with 3+ years field experience
- Proven expertise in community-based natural resource management (CBNRM) practices
- Certification in sustainable forestry (e.g., FSC, PEFC) or equivalent training
- Strong negotiation skills in community stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in using forest inventory software and ecological monitoring tools
- Experience developing value chains for non-timber forest products (NTFPs)
- Ability to work independently in remote areas with limited infrastructure
